As a Senior Manager, Analytical Operations Austria, you will lead, coach, and manage a team of analytical experts who are responsible for enabling the release of clinical material, conducting stability studies, and supporting submissions. You will also be actively involved in a team to enable the consolidation of the site strategy for Analytical Operations Austria.
You will need a proven track record of leading and managing teams of analytical experts, a solid understanding of analytical methods, techniques, and instruments, as well as GMP regulations and guidelines, a demonstrated ability to solve complex analytical problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions, a high level of initiative, creativity, and innovation.
About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an exceptional level of creativity and inventiveness.
- Apply and/or develop advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
- Act often independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs. Plan R&D programs and recommend technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives. Work is checked only upon effectiveness of results achieved, which normally require a long-term perspective. Virtually self-supervisory.
- Strategic and/or management interface.
- Provide technical guidance and counsel for other professionals and represent the organization in external discussions and technical forums.
- Provide leadership direction, determination and development of solution approaches by coordinating multiple resources to solve complex problems.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong decision making: makes decisions independently, able to handle several activities at a time and ensures current good manufacturing practice (cGMP).
- Influence: Proactively identifies and resolves conflict situations, drives cultural evolution and change management, leads assigned functional sub-teams, assess, consolidates and negotiates internal resource needs for the team.
- Experience Background: Successfully demonstrated several years as a senior expert / manager, recognized expertise in a specific area and broader scientific knowledge as well as a strategic background.
- Communication: excellent communication / presentation skills, advanced coaching and mentoring skills.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 65,605.54 a year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
